2008 Gorge Games
The 2008 Gorge Games will be held along the scenic Columbia Rive Gorge in Oregon July 17-20th. World class athletes come to compete against pristine backdrops in events such as mountain biking, sailing, kiteboarding, adventure racing, running, riverboarding, kayaking, skateboarding, and windsurfing. In its fourteenth year, the Gorge Games promise to be a spectacular spectacle with events from Cascade Locks to The Dalles on both sides of the Oregon/Washington border.
Wind events, Downtown Hood River Events, Children and Adult Classes, and the All Ages Adventure Experience kick off the games on Thursday, July 17th with Competitive Sports Events starting Friday. Check out the calendar of events at The Official Gorge Games Site - Calendar of Events.
Want to be part of the action without participating in an event? The Gorge Games wouldn’t be possible without its volunteers who assist in every aspect of running the games. Volunteer perks include a t-shirt, goody bag, an invitation to a volunteer appreciation lunch, and one day’s admission to the Gorge Games. For more information on how to become a Gorge Game Volunteer, go to The Official Gorge Games Site - Volunteer Information page.
Tickets for the 2008 Gorge Games are $35.00 plus fees for an adult 4-day pass, and child(ages 5-12) day passes are $8.00 plus fees. For purchasing information, go to the TicketsWest.com Online Ticket Office.
